Menorca_02_%281590286453%29_by_jaume_meneses.jpgThe largest city in Menorca is Mahón, or Maó or Mô, which is also famous for a local traditional dish, the Mahón cheese. This aromatic cheese is made from cow's milk and should be eaten if you pay a visit to this island (with olive oil and black pepper if you want to do it right)! After all, it's part of the Menorca culture, and also in Menorca hotels during dinner you should find it easily. If not, you should buy it at the local shops to get the most unique taste experience.

Besides wonderful Menorca beaches, there are a lot of stone monuments like navetes, taules and talaiots, which date back to the Bronze Age. It is further said that the Minoan culture had an influence on Menorca history as well, so if do not want to visit Crete, spend your vacation here as a compromise.

One of the famous Menorca beaches is at Son Bou, where the ruins of an old Basilica can be found. Ibiza Holidays in San Jose

Do you prefer a place for your vacation that is quiet and not so full? Then I suggest you to spend your Ibiza holidays in San Jose. San Jose is the biggest city in the municipality with the same name.

To find cheap Ibiza accommodation is easy, so let's focus on what San Jose offers. Compared to other towns on Ibiza, like Ibiza town and Santa Eularia, San Jose is small and calm. This is perfect for Ibiza vacationers who prefer quiet and relaxing Ibiza holidays. You won't have crowded places with a lot of sound. And although in San Jose is like the other cities on Ibiza, it still has a lot to see!

800px-Vedra_Sonneuntergang_by_chooserr.jpgYou can see the church which was completed in the 17th century (although started in the 15th century), a small art gallery and a pottery shop (which becomes a small bar during winter with a lovely atmosphere). That makes San Jose also suitable for winter holidays on Ibiza!

There are also a lot of shops in San Jose, so you don't have to worry about that. You can buy different things, but I advise to buy the local grown food! It is really delicious and you have the chance to experience the way of San Jose people.

There are also restaurants serving traditional dishes that are small and offer a welcoming atmosphere too, like the Can Manyanet, the Fashion Café, the Bar Bernat Vinya or the El Destino. If you want to eat at the Can Berri Vell, you have a beautiful sight over San Agosti, which is not very far away from San Jose.

San Jose, Ibiza is located on the top of a hill, so you have a good view over the the island and also over the sea. What many people love about the city is that it has its own charm, its own kind of atmosphere that is somehow aboriginal and original compared to the bigger tourist cities. Life is quite and calm there, and if you like to get to know San Joses own style, take this into consideration for your next Ibiza holiday!

Just walking around the beautiful city and admiring the nature will give you a lot of pleasue. Because San Jose is so small and charming, Couples would spend a wonderful time here together, as there are many roads and places in and around the city to explore, so you can book an Ibiza Hotel in San Jose and enjoy your stay!

Sa Coma Resort Majorca

On the eastern coast of Majorca, between Cala Millor and Cala Bona, lies the town Sa Coma. The Sa Coma Resort Majorca was built on purpose, and it is known to provide families with an exceptional care for children. And because of this reason, Sa Coma Resort in Majorca is a popular destination for family holidays in Spain!

Sa Coma Majorca was constructed mainly to provide the increasing tourist vacationers with accommodation, but there are also regulations for building new hotels and apartments. The reason behind this is to protect the nature and care for special regions.

800px-StrandSaComa_by_onkeljohn.jpgFor people who want to spend their family holidays in Spain or specifically Majorca, this means that there is also a lot to see and possibilities to walk around the beautiful nature. So don't let Sa Coma Majorca's status as constructed city worry you! There are a lot of modern Majorca hotels and apartments in Sa Coma as well as nature!

As mentioned before, Sa Coma is very family orientated, which makes it different from other famous cities in Majorca. Sa Coma Resort is also calmer and more relaxing than more active cities like Palma or Magaluf. But people who want to enjoy an active nightlife can always visit Cala Millor, which is not too far away.

But let's focus on family activities on Majorca: There are quite a few restaurants and shops were you can enjoy the local cuisine, as well as international dishes for vacationers who want to eat something from their home country.

The most famous sight in Sa Coma Majorca is the beach, which is a blue flag beach in Majorca and is therefore perfect for a family vacation at the beach. Besides sunbathing at the beach of Sa Coma, you can also try a lot of water sport activities. More sport activities include golf, tennis, bowling, horse-riding and bicycling. The golf resort Golf Paradis is actually very popular because it has a beautiful surrounding with water fountains and a lot of trees!

800px-Sa_Coma_03by_olaf_tausch.jpgIf you enjoy exploring the nature I strongly suggest you to visit the protected area Punta de N'Amer. This natural reserve is huge and not far away from Sa Coma Resort Majorca, so prepare yourself with enough food and water and enjoy the unique nature! If you want, you can also book a tour on a horse to visit Punta de N'Amer. On the top of a hill is the Castell de N'Amer, with an impressing antique watchtower that is a must to see.

Another popular family holiday destination is a safari park near Sa Coma. The safari park Auto Safari Zoo charges an entrance for 10€ for adults and 7€ for children and offers a lot of exotic animals to see and observe.
