Not only during summer, also during spring, autumn and even winter, the coasts are worth visiting. Staying in one of the numerous Ibiza Hotels will give you the possibility to discover the 18 km protected natural beaches. With its turquoise blue bays, not only swimming is an unforgettable adventure, also a lot of possibilities for water fun sports can be discovered, especially during summer time.

One of these picturesque bays is the Cala d'Hort. In front of the bay, there is small island called "Es Vedrà" thant completes the wonderful panorama view. Also, visitors should not miss the Platges de Comte or the beaches of Pou des Lleó, which are also worth visiting. Families can especially enjoy the beach "Platja d'en Bossa", which is very huge and perfect "playground" for the small ones.

The turquoise blue water is not a result of the weather or the cleanness of the water. It is more the Posidonia Oceánica, which is a plant that is responsible for the paradisiacal colour.

Ibiza's coast can offer also a lot concerning culture. Interested visitors are free to discover treasures of bygone times. An example would be the Phoenician village near Sa Caleta or the old watchtowers along the coastline.
