The famous sailing- regatta „Copa del Rey", hosted by the royal yacht club "Real Club Náutico de Palma", takes place in the Bay of Palma from 25.07. - 08.08.2009. King Juan Carlos and other members of the Spanish Royal Family will attend the "Copa del Rey"- regatta.

The regatta started 26 year ago. Amateurs were sailing in the Bay of Palma; later the regatta became more and more popular. Today, beside amateurs and professionals, a lot of VIP's and starlets visit the big event.
