In Palma you can visit the impressive cathedral, the Arabic bathing houses and many baroque, gothic and renaissance palaces. Furthermore there are numerous museums, churches, impressive houses and many beautiful squares that are waiting to be admired by you.
La Sierra de Tramontana is a range of hills in the north of Mallorca. These hills are an excellent environment for adventurous walks with some amazing views. The climax comes at the extreme northern point where the rocky cliffs end in the sea. This point is called El Cabo de Formentor and nature lovers shouldn’t miss it.
If you’re traveling with kids then a visit to either the water park Aquacity in S’Arenal in the east of Mallorca or a day in Marineland in Palma will definitely make them happy. Marineland features great performances of dolphins and sea lions. Besides dolphins Marineland also has the largest collection of sharks in the whole of Europe, a parrot circus, crocodiles and a reptile zoo.
There are many nice places to spend a holiday nearby these attractions. If you want to visit Palma, but you don’t want to stay in the city itself, then you can take a hotel in Portals Nous or an accommodation in Palmanova. A villa or a Mallorca apartment in the more rural CalvÃa is also a great option if you prefer a calmer surrounding.
